Genesis – Turn it On Again
October 10, 2007
Last night we went to see the Genesis reunion tour in San Jose. They’re one of those timeless bands that started over 30 years ago and can still pack an arena. The audience consisted of people young and old and just shows that Phil Collins and company are a classic and can appeal to several different types of people. The highlight of the evening was the amazing percussionist duo by P.C. and the other drummer (sorry I don’t know his name.) I was a little disappointed they didn’t play one of my favorites – “Misunderstanding” but one of the last and most dynamic performances was “We Can’t Dance”. I was happy to see that Phil Collins isn’t only a great performer but a down to earth and charismatic guy with a natural ability to connect with the crowd. Sadly, they don’t make bands like these anymore! Yay – good show!
Something interesting I didn’t know was that Peter Gabriel was the original lead vocal back in 1971!

Wow, sounds like a great night. I’d like to see them! Have you seen the Cadbury’s advert with the Gorilla?

That’s too funny and a little strange.

Did you know that Peter Gabriel had an album called
“So” back in 1986 and is really keen on supporting world music festivals?

I’m not sure where to post this tbh
. I know people are real edgy with all the blog spam etc. I use to run a blog myself, so I’m aware of the work you actually do to keep this up
. Anyway point is I thought I’d try and put something back into the community so I’ve written a little plugin folks might like. You can find it if you click through to my website. If you don’t like it just delete this comment. Thanks for your time.
